Welcome to our little corner of the world wide web! We wanted to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves. We are The Bear Guys! Both Shane and I have been enthralled with Teddy bears since we were wee tots but we were not officially introduced to the world of Teddy Bear making until the fall of 2000.

Both of us came from strong design backgrounds but who would have guessed that an impromptu visit to a teddy bear store would change our lives forever! Making the move to bear making was an easy step for both of us. Shane is a certified ceramics instructor, an avid knitter and a true “green thumb” and I am a self-entitled “craft nut”, having done custom dressmaking for over 14 years, an avid knitter by hand and machine as well as a MULTITUDE of other crafts. We both have been “crafty” as it were!

While out on a tour of a local craft shop we saw a teddy bear made from real fur and we were immediately hooked! The expression of the face and the emotions that it brought out were the hook! Shortly after rushing out and getting a reclaimed fur….our first bear, Bentley was born.

Since Bentley first came into our lives, we have had many furry critters touch our hearts.

We couldn’t think of anything more rewarding than creating and sharing our critters with others. We hope that they bring you as much joy in your lives, as creating them has brought to ours!
